Gabriel Otero is employed as the Program Coordinator with the Pascua Yaqui Community Radio Station. Gabriel educates the younger native community about radio production through an internship program created within the station and he guides the students in producing their very own 'High School news' segment.
Recently he hosted a 'Hip Hop workshop and showcase' for Native artists. The purpose of this event was to allow artists to showcase their artwork and Hip Hop groups were given a chance to perform. He continuously finds ways to educate and support the education of the Native youth within the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.
Aside from employment, other hobbies and interests include: painting, writing, and performing as a local musician in a group named 'Intertwine.'
